Sanctuary on the go

Sanctuary is more than just a space. It's a mindset, meaning that it can go wherever YOU go. This is how I take sanctuary with me wherever I go.When I travel, I take a little bag of crystals I have sitting on my desk. I tuck them into my bag, along with a few other things too -- they remind me of who I am. Things like my dad's watch, a tiger's eye piece, other things that serve as reminders to me. I get moving so fast during the day...I become an accomplishing machine. It's easy to forget who I am as I'm rushing around, and these bring me back to me. They remind me, "I'm not a machine; I can feel good in any moment."And if it gets really bad, I light a candle. If it's still hard for me to get past it, I spray some aromatherapy. Still not working? I put on some music. At that point, the combination of my signposts usually lets me breathe again. And if it doesn't, I fall to my last resort: vodka. ;)With appreciation,Lisa
